Tally-Ho Stud, a family owned business in Co. Westmeath, has taken over the sponsorship of the €50,000 EBF Birdcatcher Premier Nursery which will be held at Naas Racecourse on Sunday 20th October.

Eamonn Mc Evoy, General Manager of Naas Racecourse commented “I am truly delighted to have the Tally - Ho team on board with us at Naas Racecourse. Tally Ho Stud is a fantastic place to visit and meet with them as they show you their strong roster of stallions headed by Kodiac who has just become an incredible sire. I hope that this is the start of a long involvement between Naas Racecourse and Tally Ho Stud.”

Tally-Ho Stud stands six stallions in total, Kodiac, Ireland's leading sire in 2019, along with Cotai Glory, Galileo Gold, Kessar, Mehmas and Vadamos and is also a leading consignor of thoroughbreds in both Ireland and the UK.

The Birdcatcher is always one of the betting highlights of the Naas season with high quality two-year-olds from many of the leading trainers running in handicap company for the first time.

Ger Lyons and Colin Keane have landed the coveted prize in each of the last two seasons and will no doubt have another fancied contender lined up for this year's race as Keane is locked in battle with Donnacha O'Brien for the Jockeys' Championship.
