Teofil continues to create a good impression Teofil doubled his tally by making all in the concluding Laurels Pub (Pro/AM) INH Flat Race at Killarney for Jim Bolger. After finishing second in a hot bumper at the Punchestown Festival, this son of Teofilo showed a good attitude when scoring at the Galway Festival. Under John Gleeson, he hacked along with his ears pricked in front, and although showing signs of greenness by proving difficult to manoeuvre around the bends, he found plenty for pressure when faced with challenges. The Bolger family’s homebred kept on well inside the closing stages to win by a length and a half from the staying on Rokanako (5/1). Emergency Man weakened close home and finished third beaten four and a quarter lengths. Victorious trainer Bolger said, "I rate him highly and he will probably go in a maiden hurdle next, although he could have a run on the Flat as well. He would be alright over 1m4f on the Flat as he has plenty of pace and isn't slow. "I haven't been racing here in 10 or 15 years, not since I lost a gorgeous filly on the track."
