It was doubles all round for Gordon Elliott, Jack Kennedy and Gigginstown House Stud when The Enabler hacked up in the rated novice chase in Fairyhouse.

The 6/4 favourite disputed the lead throughout with Tareze but led definitively over two out.

He moved best in this small field as he increased his lead racing to the last. Talk In The Park briefly looked a danger as he improved to second, however, The Enabler was clear when he touched down on the run-in and cruised home by a widening 15 lengths over Talk In The Park (6/1).

This was The Enabler's first success over fences to go with two bumpers and a maiden hurdle.

“That was great. He jumped great but Jack said he was very idle in front, going a bit left and right. He was a bit leery in front,” said Elliott.

“He’s a nice horse, we knew he had improved from the first day so we’re happy.

“You’ll probably see him going handicap chasing now rather than graded races. We’ll keep it small.”
