A former point-to-point winner, the John McConnell trained mare had shown plenty of promise since switching her attention to the track. Owned by The 119 Partnership, the 7/4 chance led throughout and found plenty when challenged early in the straight to record a three-and-three-quarter length win. John McConnell said: "We did (think she would go well today) - she's not the biggest, but she is quite well-bred as a half-sister to Senecia. We bought her in Goresbridge (Horse Sales) and she's just a lovely little filly. "She tries hard. The track was probably not ideal for her, I'd say she wants a bigger track even though she is a smaller horse - all she really is is a galloper. "Alex just kind of kept it simple, bounced her out, and we knew she would stay. "Delighted! The owners (The 119 Partnership) are very good supporters of mine , so delighted for them. We have been lucky enough buying out of Goresbridge and it is great to get another one on the board. "We'll definitely keep her going. She is a novice now until the end of April, so she is going to have to keep going for that. I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up in Sedgefield or somewhere.
