Thinkin heads Cromwell Christmas team Gavin Cromwell hosted a press morning at his Danestown yard this morning ahead of the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown over Christmas. A team of potential runners at the four-day meeting were put through their paces. Heading the string was Grade 1 winner Inothewayurthinkin, who holds an entry in the Savills Chase on the Saturday. He ended his novice season with a top level success at Aintree in April and is attemping to build on his comeback run at Punchestown late last month, when finishing seventh in the John Durkan Chase. Cromwell took the assembled press and Leopardstown team through the horses that could run over the festive period:- Inothewayyourthinkin “The plan is to run in the Savills. I thought he ran okay in Punchestown, he jumped really well. “When he turned in the front ones quickened away from him but he stayed going to the line. He got a little bit tired. “Two-and-a-half would be his minimum and the step up now will be a big help. “It's a concern with the forecast and the ground. He'll definitely want an ease in it or potentially he mightn't run.” Horses cantering at Danestown this morning. pic.twitter.com/cetKHfrbMs— Irishracing.com Live (@IrishRacing365) December 17, 2024 Inothewayyourthinkin leading the string at Cromwell's yard this morning Perceval Legallois “He's in the Paddy Power. He's a very frustrating horse. He's gone up to a mark that hopefully he could still win one of those big ones but he needs everything to fall his way. “He's had plenty of hard luck stories along the way and he has crept up in the handicap as well without winning. “Hopefully he'll get his day, he's in good form. If the ground is on the better side it won't be a problem to him.” If You Let “He's in a two mile handicap hurdle. He's a horse that's starting to go the right direction. He'd love a bit of nice ground. We're happy with him.” Visionarian “He'll go for the Grade 1 (Paddy's Rewards Club Chase). Obviously on ratings he's going to be a little bit behind but hopefully he'd have a place chance.” Will The Wise “We ran him in the Grade 2 at Navan the last day and were very disappointed with him. There was no excuse for it, only maybe the ground. “He'll have a couple of entries and we'll see. He's a horse that we really like and we'd love to get him back on track.” The King Of Prs “He'll go for the two-mile handicap chase. Addragoole “He'll go for the 123 two-mile handicap hurdle. He's been second five times and he's not ungenuine, he's just kept bumping into one. “He's in good form and hopefully in a handicap now he's not badly treated. “He's a nice big horse that should keep going the right direction.” Fenway Park “He's going to go for the two-and-a-half mile handicap. He seems in good form and he won't mind a bit of nice ground.” Ask Anything “I'm not sure if he's going to go to Leopardstown. We'll see how he is between now and then. “He was disappointing the last day. He fell in Galway and then made a really bad mistake in the Troytown at Navan. “He just hasn't had a good start to the season and we'll just see how he is between now and Leopardstown.” The Other Mozzie, Dutch Schultz and Railway Hurricane “He could potentially go for the two-mile handicap chase as could Dutch Schultz. Railway Hurricane could go there as well as they are all sort of in the same boat. “I hate running them all against each other but if it's the right race for them it's the right race.” Hello Neighbour “He's obviously an interesting three-year-old that were excited about. “He'll have an entry in the three-year-old maiden hurdle and also in the Grade 2. We'll have a look and see which one we go for. Often the maiden can be as good as the Grade 2. “He's never run over hurdles but he's an exciting horse.” Al Gasparo and Bottler'secret “He's in the €100,000 handicap hurdle over two-and-a-half miles and we'll probably go there. “Bottler'secret could potentially go there as well, stepping up in trip. He worked in Navan yesterday with blinkers on him and we might stick them on him.” Yeah Man “He's probably not going to go to Leopardstown. He's probably going to go to the Thyestes.” Dark Of Heart “He's in at Ascot on Saturday. He left last night because there is a storm coming. He arrived in Ascot this morning.” Malina Girl “We might wait for the three-mile-three handicap chase at Cheltenham on New Year's Day that Stumptown won last year. “She might get an entry in the (Grade 3) John And Chich Fowler at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day as well.”
