Third time lucky for Harrington's Hill in Dundalk finale Having shaped with promise on his first two starts, the Jessica Harrington trained Drummond Hill shed his maiden tag at the third time of asking in the concluding Des Byrne Memorial Maiden at Dundalk. Sent off 11/2 under Shane Foley, the Frankel colt sat mid-division in the initial stages of the 10-furlong contest. Pushed along to close on the leaders over a furlong out, the Kate Harrington owned colt had a sustained battle with Heriot's Hope inside the last 150 yards before edging ahead close home to win by half-a-length. Shane Foley said: "He's a horse we always liked. He worked nicely up here in the spring. "He was a bit slow to come, bit of maturing, he grew a bit and turned into a big horse. "He had a lovely run up here the last day, he stepped forward, and he's going to make a nice four-year-old for someone. He's in the Horses in Training Sale. "A gorgeous big horse and tries really hard. He picked them up well today and he pricked his ears when he got to the front. "His future is bright." (Quotes by Michael Graham)
