This afternoon's action at Thurles previewed. An eight race card is on offer at Thurles on Thursday where the action begins at 2.00. The Devils Bit Maiden can easily be narrowed down to just two runners and both Ciara's Delight and Revue should fight it out. The pair chased home Crusset at Clonmel last time and there is little between them but perhaps Revue can reverse placings with Michael Halford's charge on this occasion. The eight-furlong handicap has been divided and this should present winning opportunities to Go On My Beauty (Div.1) and Tara's Gift in the latter division. National Hunt fans have half of the programme to themselves and in the 2m novice chase they may find it difficult to oppose likely favourite Heezapistol. A winner at Wexford, the five-year-old can account for Mr Sneaky Boo and Master Cooper who was unlucky to be disqualified after winning at Tramore on Sunday. Laoch Na Mara was a couple of lengths clear when falling at Leopardstown earlier this year and with a clear round, he should go very close in the 2m maiden hurdle. Racings ends with two handicap hurldes and perhaps Baron De Feypo can win the 2m2f event while the Tony Martin-trained State Power will be a popular choice in the concluding race.
