Stephen Thorne is looking forward to taking the wraps off new recruit Jagged Edge who is set to form part of a three-pronged attack on the Irish Lincolnshire for the trainer.

High Stakes Debut for New Recruit Jagged Edge

The opening day highlight at the Curragh is the on the agenda for the Blue Point gelding, who won the Irish Cambridgeshire at HQ last season for Dermot Weld.

He cost new owners Shamrock Thoroughbreds 125,000gns at the sales last October and Thorne is hoping to win most of that back in the €100,000 contest.

"We have him entered for the Irish Lincoln next week at the Curragh,” said Thorne.

"Colin Keane has been booked to ride him.

Three-Pronged Attack on the Irish Lincolnshire

"He had a lovely gallop around Leopardstown during the week, so he will be ready to start. He’s a big unit and we have him as ready as we can have him.

"He seems to have the profile for the race.

"He won his maiden last year on soft ground, around Cork. He is still very lightly raced, but is a Cambridgeshire winner.

"He's got a nice profile and we gave plenty of money for him.

"We have a couple of other bullets to fire, Pink Oxalis and Far From Dandy

“They are fit - the grey filly (Pink Oxalis) had a prep run up here a couple of weeks ago and Far From Dandy is fit from the all-weather as well.

"Hoping to run all three."
