Thornton to ride Pady Robert Thornton has been booked to ride Forpadydeplasterer in the the William Hill King George VI Chase at Kempton on St Stephen's Day. With the eight-year-old's regular partner Barry Geraghty claimed by Nicky Henderson, trainer Tom Cooper has managed to acquire Thornton's services. The English jockey has recently returned from a serious knee injury. "We booked him yesterday evening. Hopefully he can do the job," said the County Kerry handler.
