An all the way winner over a longer trip at the same track last year, Thrifty Of Digby replicated those tactics under Shane Foley when taking the Knockcroghery Handicap at Roscommon.

Smartly into stride, the Pat Harty owned filly led the way, closely followed by Zabriskie Point

The latter challenged the Jessica Harrington trained 11/1 chance from over a furlong out but hard as he tried, the gelding could find no way past the two-and-a-half length winner.

“She loves Roscommon, she just loves it around here, and she was back in that grade,” said Harrington.

“She’s very game and genuine, gets out in front and just gallops away.

“We’ll try and find something else for her now, she’s got four wins now and been placed four times. She’s as genuine as anything.”
