Thurles card cancelled because of firm ground The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board has announced that the fixture scheduled for Thurles on Thursday, October 11th has been cancelled. Following a routine course inspection, the track was found to be firm and with insufficient rainfall forecast over the next seven days the decision was taken to cancel the fixture. Horse Racing Ireland has announced a replacement fixture at Thurles on Monday 12th November. A new programme of races will be published in due course.
