Thurles to inspect on Tuesday morning Thurles will hold a precautionary inspection at 7.30am ahead of Tuesday's card. Lorcan Wyer, IHRB Clerk of the Course, said: "Due to an updated weather forecast which is giving the possibility of persistent heavy overnight rain in Munster, as a precaution we are going to hold a 7.30am inspection at Thurles on Tuesday morning. "There has been 5mm of rain since declarations yesterday morning and the ground is now soft to heavy. "It is difficult to put numbers on what the overnight rainfall will be but according to Met Eireann there is the possibility of localised flooding overnight in some parts of Munster. "The rain is then due to ease at around 8am and leave a dry and bright day."
