Tips: a Saturday treble including a confident 12-1 chance

The big spring festivals are drawing closer, national hunt stars are undergoing their final preparations and what we all need in the build up is reliable, winning tips.

Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden are very hard to oppose at the moment and I'm surprised Tahmuras isn't favourite for this year's Pendil. Paul Nicholls has won this contest 13 times and Tahmuras should be able to add to that tally. The speed test at Kempton should suit the Grade 1 winning hurdler and with a typical positive ride from Cobden he could be very hard to reel in.

Venetia Williams’ handicapper has long shaped as though a thorough test of stamina should suit ideally, and this marathon trip on testing ground promises to unlock plenty more improvement (ran well over 3m7f at Musselburgh earlier in the month). He is a sound jumper who keeps finding for pressure, and plenty of these mainly northern sluggards have a lot to prove at the moment.

Yabo was disappointing on her seasonal debut last month when she ran far too keenly in the early stages. A better run can be expected here with a hood fitted and Conor Stone-Walsh booked to ride. If she can settle in front she will take some pegging back on ground she handles well.
