A three-time winner last year, Tir Og (10/1) returned to winning ways in Cork's handicap hurdle over two and a half miles.

In the front rank throughout, the winner's task was eased when strong-travelling 5/2 favourite West Away went wrong early in the straight with Man Down , not out of things himself, clipping heels and unseating rider as a result.

Who's Da Goose came through to dispute the lead three out and appeared to have Tir Og's measure, but by the time the pair reached the last, the latter appeared to be getting the better of the argument.

Who's Da Goose fell at that final flight to leave Conor Clarke's mount clear to come home eight and half lengths ahead of Black Bamboo .

Winning owner Eoin Seymour said "She has got her form back in the last couple of weeks and was in good order coming here. She is tough out, battles away and if the ground was softer, it would have suited even better.

"She will stay over hurdles for a while and we'll take it race by race."

Regarding winning owners the Keepthehighballslow Syndicate, which includes RTE pundit Joe Canning and ex-Limerick hurler Paudie O'Brien, he added "they are a big syndicate of 12 lads and this is the mare's fourth win, so it's great for them. We'll give her three or four weeks and pick out another race then."
