Toormore tests come back clear Connections of Toormore have not ruled out a tilt at the Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas after the colt was given a clean bill of health following his disappointing run in the Newmarket version. Richard Hannon's colt was crowned champion European juvenile last season after winning the National Stakes at the Curragh, and took the Craven Stakes on his return, but connections feel the Classic may have come too soon afterwards as he could finish only seventh. After having a tracheal wash on Tuesday the results have come back all clear and the team intend to formulate a plan of attack after the French and Irish Guineas in the coming weeks, although the Curragh contest on May 24th could still be on the agenda. Tim Palin, racing manager for Middleham Park Racing, said; "Everything has come back fine. We'll see what happens now in the French Guineas and over in Ireland and we'll see who is going where. "Then, the week before the St James's Palace, we'll see how he is and whether he runs or not. There are no firm plans. "It will be either the St James's Palace or the Prix Jean Prat I'd have thought, but there is a small chance he could be supplemented for the Irish Guineas as that is still some way off. We'll just see."
