Townend to see specialist

Injured Jockeys' Championship leader Paul Townend is to see a specialist tomorrow (Tuesday) in advance of his comeback.

Townend fractured his collarbone in a fall from Indian Buck at Navan on March 26 and speaking at Cork today, his father Tim Townend stated "Paul is to see specialist Tadgh O'Sullivan tomorrow and he will tell him when he can return to action."

Townend, who had hoped to be back in time for the Fairyhouse Festival, leads Davy Russell 76-71 at the head of the Jump Jockeys' Championship.
