Trace Handed Goodwood Target

Hat-trick heroine Without A Trace is all set to step up in grade with a Group Three appointment at Glorious Goodwood next Thursday on the cards.

The Darshaan filly has shown herself to be a most progressive type, reeling off three victories on the spin inside the last six weeks.

She broke her maiden tag at Hamilton in mid-June before landing a Windsor classified stakes on July 4.

Her latest success arrived last Friday when she delivered an emphatic win at Pontefract, running away with a 12-furlong handicap, and now Ed Dunlop is eyeing up bigger prizes for his charge.

Speaking on his website, the Newmarket-based trainer said: 'Having won three in a row, I thought she deserved to step up in company, so she is going to run in the mile-and-six furlong Group Three race for fillies - the Lilly Langtry Stakes.

'If she is not good enough, we can always step down. But she has been progressive and the encouraging thing at Pontefract was that she went on the very fast ground, which was the unknown quantity as far as she was concerned.

'She kept galloping and seems to be improving.'
