Tramore announce new sponsor Holden Plant Rentals have been announced as the new sponsor of Tramore’s richest race, the Listed Steeplechase on New Year's Day. The Listed Steeplechase run on Saturday January 1 will now be called the Holden Plant Rentals Steeplechase of €32,000. Mullinavat based Holden Plant Rentals Ltd are the largest specialist equipment rental company in Ireland supplying local authorities with all their required equipment needs. Founded in 1955 by Patrick Holden, the original business mostly consisted of the sale and repair of cars and agricultural machinery but through steady expansion, it is now the largest specialist equipment rental company in Ireland under Managing Director Paul Holden. Sue Phelan, General Manager of Tramore Racecourse said: "Tramore Racecourse is delighted that Holden Plant Rentals has agreed to sponsor our most prestigious race of 2011. "Traditionally New Years Day at Tramore is a great day for us, and some very good horses have won this race including One Cool Cookie and last year’s winner The Fonze”. The New Years Racing Festival takes place on Dec 31 and Jan 1 with seven exciting jump races each day.
