Turf Club to watch weather at Killarney

The four-day Killarney meeting kicks off today and the racecourse have watered to maintain the ground.

The going is currently good, good to firm in places at the Kerry track where the Listed Vincent O'Brien Ruby Stakes is the highlight on day one.

The National Hunt course is currently good to firm, good in places ahead of the jumps action on a mixed card tomorrow.

The forecast is for it to remain dry today with rain overnight. Showers are predicted for tomorrow in the region while the forecast is for heavy showers on Thursday.

The Turf Club have said they will monitor the weather in relation to more watering.

Galway race again this weekend with a three-day meeting starting on Saturday. The going is currently good.

The Curragh also have action on Sunday and the ground is currently good to firm on the round track and good on the straight.
