Twirl will represent Aidan O'Brien's Ballydoyle stable in this year's renewal of the Group 3 Musidora Stakes at York on Wednesday.

The son of Galileo will face five rivals in the 1m2f Oaks Trial, most notably Qipco 1000 Guineas fourth The Fugue.

The Fugue is trained by John Gosden who won last season's Musidora with Joviality.

Aidan O'Brien has sent a number of runners over for the York contest in recent years, but has yet to train the winner.

Jim Bolger, who won the race with Lush Lashes 2008, was also successful in the 1980s with Condessa and Give Thanks.
