Twiston-Davies to miss Josh ride Sam Twiston-Davies will miss the ride on ante-post favourite Little Josh in the December Gold Cup at Cheltenham after having an appeal against a riding suspension dismissed by a British Horseracing Authority disciplinary panel. The up-and-coming jockey was given a three-day ban after being found guilty of careless riding on Mad Moose at Kempton last month. Twiston-Davies rode Little Josh, trained by his father Nigel, to win the Paddy Power Gold Cup, but the Naunton handler will require a new pilot when he bids for the big Cheltenham handicap double on December 11. The rider will miss the entirety of Cheltenham's two-day meeting as he is suspended from December 10-12.
