Tynan reaches double figures with Navan success Orla Tynan brought her career tally to 10 when partnering the Jenny Lynch-trained Another Nice’day to win the Navan Adventure Centre Handicap at Navan this afternoon. Running from 6lbs out of the handicap proper, the 17/2 chance headed Gillian Scott’s front-running 6/1 shot Amerilis 100 yards out and battled well to score by half a length with the Ken Condon-trained Cashel Blue, another at odds of 6/1, a head away in third place. Tynan, who began the year with a double at Dundalk in January, was riding her sixth winner of the current season and she said: “Jumped very well and sat there. I rode him the last day in Naas, so I knew he likes to bounce out. I did that and he just made the rest easy. “My agent, Mark Enright, rode Jennifer's first winner. He rang for the ride in Naas, and they said they would give me a go. They have been very good to me. Thanks very much to Jenny and the lads. “He hadn't run much over that trip either, he ran over seven (furlongs) and that. He just looked like he wanted to jump out and be up there, and not to be fighting him as much. “He enjoyed that. He was very game the whole way and kept galloping out to the line very well for me.” Additional reporting by Michael Graham
