Uberalles and Edredon may clash

Impressive Huntingdon winner Edredon Bleu was today among 13 possible rivals standing between Flagship Uberalles and a hat-trick of victories in the Stg#80,000 Mitsubishi Shogun Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown Park next month.

The Henrietta Knight-trained Edredon Bleu, who scored in the BBA Peterborough Chase on Saturday for the fourth year running, may take in the contest en route to another tilt at the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham.

Geos, who finished second to Edredon Bleu on his British chasing debut for trainer Nicky Henderson, is also among the entries for the Grade One event on December 8th.

Other possibles include the Paul Nicholls-trained Fadalko, who was third to Edredon Bleu`s stable companion Best Mate in the williamhill.co.uk Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter earlier this month.

Other entries for Sandown include Cheltenham winner Latalomne, from the Brian Ellison stable, and Lord York, who won at Ascot last month before finishing third on the same course behind Redemption on Friday.

Irish challengers could include Micko`s Dream, Knife Edge and Native Upmanship.

Flagship Uberalles, ridden by Joe Tizzard, was a 100-30 shot when beating the favourite Direct Route and Edredon Bleu in a six-runner field in 1999.

Last year`s meeting was abandoned because of waterlogging but the race was transferred to Cheltenham and Flagship Uberalles, ridden by Richard Johnson, was 3-1 favourite when beating Fadalko and Bellator.

The 14 horses entered are: Cenkos, Desert Mountain, Fadalko, Whitenzo (all trained by Paul Nicholls), Edredon Bleu (Henrietta Knight), Flagship Uberalles (Philip Hobbs), Geos, Get Real (both Nicky Henderson), Jungli (Paul Webber), Knife Edge (Michael O`Brien), Latalomne (Brian Ellison), Lord York (Ian Williams), Micko`s Dream (Willie Mullins) and Native Upmanship (Arthur Moore).
