Uttoxeter on This afternoon's meeting at Uttoxeter goes ahead as scheduled following an 8am course inspection. Although overnight temperatures dipped to well below freezing, the frost covers have stood firm - much to the delight of clerk of the course Charlie Moore. Moore said: "We got to minus 3C overnight but the sun is now shining and it's all systems go. "It's still just below freezing, but things will warm up as the morning goes on. "We'll look at taking the fleece covering off at 10am, after which we'll work our socks off to get everything in place. "It's game on."
