Vauntingly wins in some style at Killarney Placed third on her debut and a runner-up on both starts since, Vauntingly stepped up to take the Kerry Publicans Summer Race Day Fillies Maiden at Killarney. Trained by Joseph O'Brien and ridden by Dylan Browne McMonagle, the 13/8 favourite made every yard and asserted from over a furlong out to score by three and three-parts of a length from 5/2 shot White Sand Beach. The champion jockey said: “It was straightforward. She has experience and she likes to go forward so there was no point complicating things. “I jumped well from the gates and was happy to make the running. She enjoyed it in front and found plenty for pressure. “Ben (Coen) was outside me and he dropped away at the two-pole. I was just waiting for something to get to me before I went because she was a little bit lonely in front. “Once I asked her to stretch from the furlong-pole she put daylight between them and she hit the line well. “She’s been bumping into a couple of nice types. It was her first time going a mile-and-a-half today and it suited her well. “She’s getting better with each run and hopefully she can keep on improving.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
