Venalmar set for chasing campaign High-class hurdler Venalmar is set to start novice chasing within the next three or four weeks. An attractive proposition from the Mouse Morris yard, the gelding missed all last season with a leg problem. As a novice hurdler he won a Grade Two at Naas and was beaten just a neck by Fiveforthree in the 2008 Ballymore Properties Novices' Hurdle. Venalmar was virtually pulled up on his final outing at Punchestown a few weeks later. "He'll go novice chasing and will be ready for a run at the end of the month," reported Morris.
