Venturer victorious at Goodwood Frankie Dettori once again got the Goodwood Flat season off to a flying start when booting Venturer to victory in the opening Trehearne Architects Maiden Stakes at the picturesque Sussex track today.Dettori, who together with successful trainer John Gosden was landing this one mile event for the second successive year, was content to take the box seat behind early leader Lisianski in the initial stages of the race.However, once they approached the final two furlongs he let his mount down and repelling the challenge of Wood Dalling and Momentum, Venturer got the verdict by one and a half lengths and a neck.'He had a slight problem last year that needed surgery and he has come back well,' said the Manton trainer
