Viamonte scores for the Brownes at Down Royal Viamonte provided the mother and son team of Tanya Browne and Adam Browne-Souza with a family success in the Ampion Electrical Testing And Solar Experts Handicap at Down Royal. The five-year-old gelding, supported on track from 14/1 into 10/1, collared the front-running Bye Bye Now at the furlong pole and kept on well inside the final 150 yards. Dandy Land came home best of the remainder three-quarters of a length back with Hot To Foxtrot in third. Tanya Browne said, "Fantastic, I think he deserved it as he has been knocking on the door. "He does have a wind problem which we have never done, so you try and keep him up there. He has been in great form coming up to this. "We started him off over seven (furlongs) as a two-year-old, but this (wind) was catching him, so we brought him back (in trip). He's a really honest horse." Tanya Browne saddled her first winner when Lamar Canyon, also ridden by Adam, won at Dundalk in May. Quotes by Michael Graham
