Viztoria update Johnny Murtagh is likely to give Viztoria a tune-up this weekend as she prepares for the QIPCO 1000 Guineas. Trainer Eddie Lynam has decided against a prep-run before Newmarket on May 5, although she could have the Irish version on her agenda if the Rowley Mile ground goes against her. Murtagh helped the daughter of Oratorio to win the Listed Blenheim Stakes at the Curragh before the pair finished a narrow second in the Group Two Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte. "Viztoria is training very well for the Guineas," said Lynam. "She will probably go for a racecourse gallop at Curragh on April 6 or 7 and Johnny Murtagh will have a sit on her. "If the plan is to go for the 1000 Guineas, then she will go straight to Newmarket without a run. "If we decide to wait for the Irish 1000 Guineas, then she would run in the Athasi Stakes at the Curragh on May 6. "If the ground looks like it will come up soft, she will run at Newmarket as she loves soft ground."
