Wachman Happy With Longchamp Ground

David Wachman believes the ground will be fine for Indesatchel after supplementing the colt for the Poule D´Essai Des Poulains (French 2000 Guineas) at Longchamp on Sunday.

Connections decided to fork out ?24,000 yesterday to give Indesatchel the chance of Classic glory after winning all his three starts so far this season.

After making a successful debut at the Curragh last month, he won the Greenham Stakes at Newbury before trotting up by six lengths in the Tetrarch Stakes back at the Irish track earlier this month.

'The ground is 3.10 on the penetrometer at the moment and there´s rain due there today and tomorrow. He goes on good ground anyway,' said Wachman today.

'He´s OK and hopefully he´ll give a good account of himself.'

The Cashel trainer is in no hurry to make a decision on Fracas´s participation in the Vodafone Derby after his win at Leopardstown last time.

Said Wachman: 'He´s come out of the Derrinstown in good form and has been cantering away.

'We´re keeping our options open for him. We don´t have to commit yet. We´ll see how he is come the time, the ground and the opposition and take it from there.'
