Walsh okay after spectacular Taunton exit Ruby Walsh got to his feet okay after making a spectacular exit from Earth Planet at the eighth fence in the opening Royal Bath & West Beginners' Chase at Taunton today. Second time over fences, the eight-year-old son of Kayf Tara was keen but jumped well in behind the leaders. However he ran out through the inner wing and sent Walsh flying at the first fence in the straight with a circuit to go. Next time around, that fence, the third last, was bypassed following the incident. Only three of the seven runners managed to complete with victory going to the Daryl Jacob-ridden Vodka Brook.
