Walsh & Power fit for Sligo Jockey Ruby Walsh has been declared fit to ride at Sligo on Thursday after he fell at Roscomon on Tuesday evening. Walsh sustained a soft-tissue injury to an arm when his mount, Gardelito, came to grief in the closing stages of the Family Day August 19th Maiden Hurdle. The jockey was stood down for the rest of the meeting but will resume duties at Sligo. Jennifer Walsh, the rider's sister and agent, said: "It was a heavy fall on hard ground, but he's totally fine. "There's no problems and he's ready to go again." Robbie Power's ankle injury is not enough to keep him out of action at Sligo. The John Smith's Grand National-winning jockey was also stood down at Roscommon after he fell from Sin Miedo at the second flight of the Railway Bar 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle. Power said: "I'm grand, and will be back at Sligo. "My right ankle's a bit swollen - I just got kicked on the bone - but it's nothing too serious. "It should be OK with a bit of physio."
