Warrsan Dies In Retirement Warrsan, dual winner of the Coronation Cup at Epsom, has died after a short illness.The eight-year-old, who also won the Grosser Preis von Baden in Germany twice, was retired in April and connections had hoped to find him a place at stud.However, the son of Caerleon suffered complications resulting from a tumour and despite the best efforts of the staff at trainer Clive Brittain's yard and local vets Rossdales, Warrsan died on Monday night.Brittain told the Racing Post: 'It's a tragedy that Warrsan was unable to go on to the life that he so richly deserved as a stallion.'He was one of the family at Carlburg and we will miss him.'Owner Saeed Manana added: 'I would like to thank all those who tried so hard to save him.'I feel so sorry for Clive Brittain and all his team, who loved him as much as I did.'(C) PA Sport
