Weekend Option For Demon Racing Demon could make a quick reappearance at Warwick on Saturday after missing an intended run at Sandown. The five-year-old was due to tackle the Grade Two Stan James Wayward Lad Novices´ Chase on Boxing Day, but trainer Henrietta Knight pulled him out due to quick ground at the Esher venue. The Wantage handler is now looking towards the Betfred `Island Faith´ Novices´ Chase as a possible consolation event, - ground permitting. She said: 'I was very disappointed. We came here to run, but the ground was simply much too firm. 'We will keep entering him and run where the ground is suitable, we might even go to Warwick this coming Saturday but we will have to see what the weather does.'(C) PA Sport
