"Paddyfrommenlo is a nice horse and he won't be far away today. We think he'll go well." Mayo Lad is towards the head of the betting for Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes (due to be replaced). This son of Holy Roman Emperor has been a consistent servant for Middleham Park Racing Ix & James Pak. Other noteworthy runners in what could be an informative heat are Amoralist (Mayo native Ted Durcan takes the mount), the well-bred Counsel, the charmingly-named Dellbuoy and Tadhg O'Shea's mount Widyaan (cheek-pieces first-time).
