Noel Meade has not yet decided whether to let recent Tipperary scorer Westhaven turn out at the Galway Festival.

The six-year-old broke his duck over fences with a smart performance in the hands of Adrian Heskin, the jockey's first winner for Meade, and the trainer is considering whether to let him turn out again in the Galway Blazers Handicap Chase.

Meade said: "Westhaven will get an entry in the Galway Blazers at Galway but I'm not sure whether or not he'll run as there isn't really a plan for him at the moment.

"I was very pleased with his win and was also pleased with his rider Adrian Heskin. He's a very nice chap, has a good way and has a beautiful pair of hands.

"He rode for me in the past but it had been a while since and I think he's a jockey on the up."
