Whateys Quest bids to double his total over fences in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Handicap Steeplechase at Navan tomorrow.

The seven-year-old gelding ran well for a long way before finishing third in a valuable handicap chase over an extended two-miles-five-furlongs in Cork last month.

He's down towards the bottom end of the handicap in this extended two-and-a-half-mile assignment.

Trainer Charles Byrnes said: "He's very good and we are very happy with him (since Cork)

"He gets through the testing ground and he doesn't really stay three miles, so I'd say two and a-half miles is ideal.

"He'll be there or thereabouts."

The son of Quest For Peace was last victorious in a handicap chase at Limerick over Christmas 2024. He also has a maiden hurdle success in his locker from Clonmel the same year.
