Whiteoak Could Go for Champion Donald McCain admits connections are "tempted" to run Whiteoak in the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle. A winner of the David Nicholson Mares Hurdle last year, she returned to action last weekend when finishing a promising second to Ashkazar in the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton. "We are still undecided over her target as the owner is away and we need to sut down and discuss it," the trainer told At The Races. "I suppose the Mares race would be the obvious one for her as she is a short-priced favourite but we are tempted by the Champion. "Horses like this don't come along very often and take Binocular out of the Champion and what would you be afraid of? I'm not being flippant but I can't see anything."
