Winsili has Breeders aim Winsili has the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf as her "main aim" following her victory in Saturday's Nassau Stakes at Goodwood. The John Gosden-trained filly caused a 20-1 shock in the Group One as she successfully dropped back in trip to 10 furlongs having failed to see out a mile and a half in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot last time. While Winsili claimed first place for owner Khalid Abdullah, Hot Snap also provided him with third-place honours as she bounced back from a lacklustre effort in the 1000 Guineas back in May. The pair now have a number of middle-distance options to look forward to, with the Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp on Arc weekend also on the radar. "We were very happy with the result, everything went better than expected," said Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe on At The Races. "We always had a good opinion of Winsili. Don't forget we supplemented her for the Fillies' Mile last season but we had to withdraw her on the morning of the race as she went lame, so we gave her some time. "She won the mile-and-a-quarter Listed race at Newbury (Swettenham Stud Fillies' Trial Stakes) in pretty good style but didn't stay in the Ribblesdale next time out, so then we reverted to the Nassau which proved very satisfactory. "(Hot Snap) was a bit slowly away and didn't really handle the hill but then, as is typical of Goodwood, she didn't have a clear passage but she ran on really well and from that point of view we were delighted. "Winsili had only had the two races this season so she's not got many miles on the clock. She's not particularly big but is a robust filly. She doesn't like standing still, she needs to be kept on the move. "I would think a Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare might be on the agenda as a main aim given mile-and-a-half races like the Yorkshire Oaks are out really. "She could take in something like the Prix de l'Opera on the way. There's the (Prix Jean) Romanet at Deauville but that might come too soon (August 18). That would be the programme for both of them really. "Hot Snap might appreciate a little more cut. The Opera might be more her thing but we've got interesting options for both. "A decision on if they stay in training will be taken further along the line given how they are and what their opportunities (are), but I'm sure Prince Khalid will give it good consideration. "I think we'd be inclined to keep them against fillies for now. The programme is good enough for that, those sort of races (Juddmonte International) might be for next year.
