Wolf On The Prowl Kevin Ryan has enjoyed a fantastic season so far, and is very much looking forward to Royal Ascot, where he hopes Amadeus Wolf will put up a bold show in the Golden Jubilee Stakes. The son of Mozart was a leading juvenile last season, landing the Gimcrack Stakes before bettering that performance with a game victory in the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket. He returned to action with a fair seventh in the 2000 Guineas, but Ryan feels the trip stretched his stamina and that he will show his true colours now he reverts to sprinting.Speaking on Racing UK, Ryan explained: 'I am really looking forward to running Amadeus Wolf in the Golden Jubilee. He's a very uncomplicated horse, and he's in great order.'The Guineas was there and we had to give it a go.'I would do exactly the same thing next year if I have another horse of the same calibre.'I never trained him specifically to stay, I just trained him as I had last year, and I think he if he were able to stay he would have done, however I had trained him.'Ryan also holds a strong hand with his juveniles, with Roxan and Sadeek appearing to hold leading chances, but he is under no illusions as to how difficult it is to train a winner at the Royal meeting. 'We have some lovely horses going to Ascot but the races are very competitive and I'd be delighted to come away with a winner,' he commented. ? PA Sport
