Winner of the Foxhunters' Chase at last years Cheltenham Festival, Wonderwall will take the first steps towards retaining that crown when returning to action next month.

Sent off a 28/1 outsider for the amateur riders race last March, the Sam Curling trained gelding led two out, before keeping on in game fashion to prevail by neck.

Speaking at Clonmel on Thursday, trainer Sam Curling reported: "He picked up a little knock (at Cheltenham), so we gave him time to get over it. He is back in, is going great and did a bit or work on Thursday morning.

"He will start back in November and while he could run in a couple of point to points, he might only have one run between now and Cheltenham.

"If his November point to point goes well, he could go to Belharbour in February but if not, it doesn't really matter, as he went straight to Cheltenham last year without a recent run. He is qualified to run in the race already."
