Wyman was ultimately a decisive winner of the Dubai Racing Carnival Rated Race over a mile and five furlongs in Leopardstown.

Just the four runners went to post for this €25,000 contest and third-running Wyman was exerting Shane Foley's arms fully half a mile from home.

The further he went, the more he warmed to his task, though, as he took closer order racing to the final two furlongs.

He stayed on to head Keepsgettingbetter outside the final furlong and went on in the closing stages to open up by three and three quarter lengths at 11/4. The runner-up, Keepsgettingbetter, was a 9/4 chance.

Jessica Harrington said: "He quickened up really well. He's very lazy but he's only learning to race now.

"The further he goes the better he'll be. He'll be a lovely horse next year.

"We'll go from here to a Listed race, probably back here. Whether we run him again then this year or keep him for next year, I'm not sure. He could end up being a mile-and-six horse, two-mile horse."

Wyman brought up a double for Harrington and Foley who also struck with Dark Viper (9/1).
