Yeats Misses King George

Aidan O´Brien will only be represented by Ace in Saturday´s King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes after he announced that Yeats will not take part.

A general 16-1 shot for the main event at Newbury, Yeats was a decisive winner of the Coronation Cup in early June but was subsequently a highly disappointing ninth in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud.

Ace, just beaten by current King George favourite Azamour in the Prince of Wales´s Stakes at Royal Ascot at York, will now be the ride of Kieren Fallon.

O´Brien told the Racing Post: 'Yeats won´t run as we just want to give him more time before his next run.'

The colt holds an entry in next month´s Juddmonte International Stakes at York.
