Zero Fighter back to winning ways in Roscommon Eamon Delany's Zero Fighter made most in Division 1 of the extended seven-furlong handicap at Roscommon and proved tough at the business end. The 10/1 shot broke well for Wayne Lordan and the pair soon raced in a close second upsides Shahada Ace before going on after a furlong. Jazz Dreamers and Joseph Harnett weren't going to let Zero Fighter and Lordan have an easy time of it up front and moved up to almost race alongside after a couple of furlongs. Zero Fighter burned off Jazz Dreamers a furlong and a-half down, and readily kicked on inside the final furlong to scoot in by two and three-quarter lengths from 9/2 favourite My Kurkum who came through for second as Jazz Dreamers (40/1) dropped to third. The winner was available at as big as 28/1 this morning. Lordan said: “I rode him before in Dundalk and he jumped good and travelled comfortably, and maybe didn’t let himself down, but it’s beautiful ground here today. “He won here before, so obviously enjoys this track. “In fairness, Eamon said he was in great form and thought he’d run a big race today.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee
