< Annie Power picked up ample compensation for her last-flight fall at the Cheltenham Festival as she toyed with her rivals in landing the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Champion Hurdle at Punchestown on the final day of the season.
Sent off the 2-9 favourite for the Grade One event following her Mares' Hurdle mishap, the Willie Mullins-trained seven-year-old was sent straight to the front by Ruby Walsh and travelled easily before quickening clear on the run to the final obstacle.
There were no alarms this time as she jumped the hurdle well, and she was never threatened as her stablemate Analifet finished 10 lengths behind in second.
It has been a record-breaking week for Mullins and it got even better when 11-4 favourite Petite Parisienne led home another one-two for the Closutton yard in the day's other Grade One event, the AES Champion Four Year Old Hurdle.
Once Bryan Cooper got her on an even keel after the turn for home she looked full of running and she had the race in the bag at the last, where she gave her supporters a scare with a clumsy leap before beating Buiseness Sivola by eight and a half lengths.
The champion trainer also won the bumper with Nambour while another to enjoy a big day was JP McManus, who struck four times, notably when Eddie Harty's Sort It Out (6-1) dug deep for Mark Walsh to hold off three Mullins runners in the Setanta Sports Handicap Hurdle.
The owner's Gallant Oscar (5-2 favourite) initiated a Walsh double with a convincing success for the Tony Martin team in the Palmerstown House Pat Taaffe Handicap Chase, cruising ahead between the last two fences to score by nine lengths.
Martin's Heathfield (4-1 favourite) looks on a serious upward curve and won the Ladbrokes Ireland Handicap Chase easily, travelling sweetly into contention under Paul Townend and sauntering four and a quarter lengths clear in the McManus silks.
The owner's other victory came via Enda Bolger's 2-1 favourite Josies Orders who had no luck when unseating in the La Touche Cup but burst clear to win the Bo
