FormscanBy Michael Graham - David Christie's VAUCELET has a shot at upsetting Billaway. The latter made mistakes and was toiling 10 lengths down in third at the penultimate fence in the hunters chase at Cheltenham but stayed on to pip Vaucelet's stablemate Winged Leader by a neck, He is the horse to beat but had a very tough race in Cheltenham and Vaucelet may take advantage. This better ground is right up his street. His only defeat in his last seven races came on unsuitable soft ground at Down Royal at Christmas. He cruised home by 20 lengths in a hunters chase at Fairyhouse earlier this month. Dorking Cock beat Vaucelet into third at Down Royal but would prefer cut in the ground.
