The Pat Doyle-trained seven-year-old was particularly impressive on his latest start at Ballycrystal and he is clearly a progressive type. West Of Carrig has also won three times this season and unseated when last seen in the Foxhunters at Cheltenham. Taking a big drop in class now, it'll come as no surprise if he manages to land this prize. Successful 12-months ago with Ryehill, Ross O'Sullivan and Luke Shanahan are represented by Arkhill. Unlucky on debut at Punchestown, he since made the breakthrough at Durrow and it'll be interesting to see if he can follow-up. A fast-finishing second at Tramore last week, Long Gone is another for the shortlist.
