This former point-to-point winner kept on for fourth in a maiden hurdle on soft ground at the Galway Festival and was well clear of the remainder. On The Tide made a promising return to action when third at Kilbeggan. He had previously shown ability when runner-up in a bumper at Tipperary in May last year. Quarry Rocco's stablemate, Casey West, has been off a long time but showed decent form for his former trainer.
