The Eric McNamara-trained gelding won an ‘unplaced’ maiden hurdle then and it probably wasn’t the hottest contest but he was impressive in doing so and doesn’t look harshly treated now off a mark of 114. Minella Diamond has some solid form in strong maiden hurdles and he could be the danger. Oaks Soldier is unexposed after three nice maiden hurdle runs and he looks one to note on his handicap debut.
