FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - He competed for the Power family from Dungarvan in his time in point-to-points, so SOLDIERS WORLD would be a poignant winner here given the recent passing of amateur jockey Jerome. It can be viewed as interesting that Declan Queally now elects to go the bumper route with the Soldier Of Fortune gelding, as he had been due to contest a hunter chase at Tramore in April but missed out on that assignment due to a change in going. There has also been a change of colours on the Queally representative in the interim, and any market support would certainly be viewed as a positive. His performances in point-to-points weren't devoid of promise, and this shorter trip and better ground could be right up his alley. There's little doubt that the only previous track winner, Angelo Dundee, is the safest choice, whilst Additional Time might be next best.
